Programs That Do More Than Educate
Artist House Studio is a private music studio founded in 2001 to provide a caring, creative, and inspiring learning environment catering to budding musicians of all ages. We consider the specific needs, goals, and aptitudes of our students in order to create a lesson plan that is appropriate and stimulating. We design lessons that provide each student with the opportunities to grow in a creative and enjoyable way.
We offer a customized schedule for each student which is essential for developing musical growth and versatility. Performing is encouraged and recitals are given regularly allowing students to share the joy and love they have for music.
Private
Lessons
At Artist House Studio, we offer in-person private music instruction in a safe, welcoming, and professional studio setting. Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs and interests of the student, creating an engaging and inspiring learning experience.
Our private lessons include:
🎹 Piano
🎸 Classical & Acoustic Guitar
🎶 Music Theory, Ear Training & Musicianship
Students explore a diverse range of styles—from classical and pop to rock, blues, and jazz—with the freedom to incorporate their favorite songs into lessons. This personalized approach keeps learning fun and motivating while building a strong foundation in technique and musicality.
Whether you’re just starting out or pursuing advanced studies, private lessons provide the one-on-one attention needed to grow with confidence.
Online
Lessons
Our online, one-on-one music lessons make it easy for students to learn from the comfort of home—without compromising on quality. Delivered via Zoom, these virtual sessions are designed to be just as interactive and effective as in-person lessons.
With the use of multiple camera angles, our experienced instructors provide clear demonstrations and personalized feedback, focusing on proper technique, musicianship, and smooth skill progression—from beginner to advanced levels.
Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or preparing for an exam, our online lessons offer the flexibility and expert instruction to help you thrive.
Group
Lessons
Our group lessons offer a fun, social, and supportive environment for students to learn music alongside their peers. Whether online or in-person (with small, socially-distanced classes), these sessions are a great way to build foundational skills while developing confidence and collaboration.
Our guitar group lessons cover essential techniques such as note reading, chording, and picking, with exposure to a variety of musical styles and genres. As students progress, they gain the exciting opportunity to perform together at studio events and private functions—showcasing their favorite pieces as a team.
Group learning fosters a sense of community and motivation, and often inspires students to practice, perform, and grow more than ever before.
RCM Exam
Preparation
Artist House Studio also provides preparation for The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) practical and theory examinations implementing the curriculum of The Royal Conservatory syllabus. All students who have taken the RCM exams have successfully passed the rigorous standards of the Conservatory with honours and first class honours.
RCM examinations are conducted four times each year. The RCM is one of the most respected music education institutions in the world, providing the standard of excellence in curriculum design, assessment and performance training. The curriculum of the RCM is made available and accessible to students across North America.

Ear
Training
Ear training is essential for developing the ability to truly hear music—not just play it. It bridges the gap between music theory and real-world sound, helping students identify notes, intervals, chords, and melodies by ear.
At Artist House Studio, ear training is woven into our lessons to strengthen key musical skills like rhythm, intonation, chord recognition, and melodic memory. With regular practice, students gain the ability to anticipate notes, sing with accuracy, tune instruments more effectively, and understand music on a deeper level.
Whether you’re a beginner or preparing for advanced exams, ear training builds the kind of listening skills that set confident, expressive musicians apart.
Sight
Reading
Sight reading is like learning to read a new language—only this one is made of notes, rhythms, and musical expression. We incorporate sight reading into our curriculum to help students develop fluency in reading music as it’s written on the page.
Mastering this skill strengthens a student’s sense of rhythm, pitch, and timing, creating a solid foundation for musical growth. Confident sight readers are better equipped for exams, auditions, and live performances, and often enjoy greater independence and creativity in their playing.
Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for the Royal Conservatory of Music exams, sight reading is a key to becoming a well-rounded musician.
Filipino
Instruments
As proud members of the Filipino community, we are committed to preserving and passing on the rich musical traditions of the Philippines. At Artist House Studio, we offer lessons in traditional Filipino string instruments such as the bandurria and octavina, helping students connect with their cultural roots while developing musical skill and artistry.
These lessons are more than just instruction—they’re a way to celebrate heritage, honor tradition, and keep Filipino music alive for future generations. Whether you’re a beginner or reconnecting with your roots, we welcome all ages to explore the vibrant sounds of Filipino music.
🎼 A Lesson Plan
